The Stars are coming off a 5-3 loss in
Detroit Thursday night. I The Stars built a 3-1 lead,
but the Red Wings scored three straight goals during a
span of just under five minutes late in the second
period and early in the third
to take the lead. "Anytime you play the Red Wings you
have to play a complete 60 minutes and we didn't get
that done," said Stars forward Stu Barnes. It was the
Stars' fourth loss in the last five games. The Stars
have allowed 12 third period goals over the last six
games.
Injuries: D Philippe Boucher
(shoulder) and D Sergei Zubov (groin/foot)
are
out. C/LW Steve Ott (suspension) is out |

| The Canucks dropped their
second straight game, falling 2-0 in Phoenix Thursday
night. "We were not good enough," said Canucks
forward Daniel Sedin. "That's the bottom line. We have
to get back to the way we used to play. Right now, I
think everyone is pushing almost too much. We're
over-forechecking, over-backchecking, over-thinking the
game right now." It's been 11 games since the Sedin
twins, Markus Naslund and Taylor Pyatt have scored a
goal.
Injuries: D Aaron Miller (shoulder), D Mattias
Ohlund (knee) and D Lukas Krajicek (shoulder) are out. |
