The Stars lost 2-1 to Anaheim Wednesday.
It was their sixth loss in the last seven games. "I
thought [that] game was a very competitive game," said
Stars coach Dave Tippett. "That's a positive sign for me
because I felt we got into a few games where I felt our
work ethic and desperation levels weren't at the other
teams' levels, and we got beat. [Wednesday] night I
thought our work ethic and that part of the game was
very strong." Forward Steve Ott will return from his
three-game suspension Saturday.
Injuries: D Philippe Boucher
(shoulder) and D Sergei Zubov (groin/foot)
are
out. |

Kings |
| The Kings are coming off
a 6-5 shootout win at Phoenix on Thursday. "We have to
play every game like we are fighting for a playoff
spot," said Kings goalie Erik Ersberg, who improved to
3-3-2 with the victory. "We can't just lay down and
quit. For me, it is just fun to play games [in the
NHL]." The win was just the third in the last 12 games
(3-6-3) for the Kings.
Injuries: F Kyle Calder (finger), D Jack Johnson (foot),
G Jason LaBarbera (sports hernia), LW Ladislav Nagy
(neck) and LW Scott Thornton (upper body) are out. |
