With the lockout in effect, NHL players are looking for work and many of them have been finding it. On Saturday Peter Forsberg signed to play for Modo in Sweden for the entire season regardless of whether the NHL plays this season. On Friday Jaromir Jagr, Milan Hejduk and Marian Hossa all signed to play in Europe during the NHL lockout. More than 40 NHL players have committed to play in Europe since the lockout was announced Wednesday.
As for the Stars players, there are still a lot of questions. Outside of the players assigned to the minor leagues or junior hockey, only Aaron Downey has found some work. He's playing in the Original Stars Hockey League.
Several of the Stars players are still mulling their options. Some may play in Europe while others may just work out to stay in shape during the lockout. Here's a look at the Dallas players under contract and their current status.
