NHL, NHLPA talks to continue Wednesday and ThursdayFriday, August 31, 2007 The NHL and NHLPA met for three-and-a-half hours in New York on Tuesday and agreed to meet again on Wednesday and Thursday. "The parties met today in New York City and at the conclusion of the meeting they agreed to set aside time for additional meetings tomorrow and Thursday," NHLPA spokesman John Weatherdon said in a news release. "The NHLPA will not comment on the status of the negotiations until after this series of meetings concludes later this week." NHL chief legal officer Bill Daly offer this comment: "The Union has agreed, at our request, to remain in New York to continue meeting in smaller groups over the next several days on a variety of sub-issues that need to be addressed in connection with a new CBA." This round of meetings comes after a two-day session in Toronto last week.
