NHL, NHLPA meet for 6 1/2 hours

The NHL and NHLPA met for about six-and-a-half hours in Chicago Wednesday and will get together again on Thursday.  The two sides apparently held small group meetings on financial and accounting issues.

NHL commissioner Gary Bettman and NHLPA executive director Bob Goodenow did not take part in Wednesday's session.

There was no comment from either side Wednesday.
