Pushkarev scores two as Iowa beats Houston

Iowa Stars at Houston

Konstantin Pushkarev scored two goals to lead the Iowa Stars to a 3-1 win in Houston Friday night. Nolan Baumgartner also scored for Iowa, which won its third straight game. Tobias Stephan made 31 saves to get the win in goal.

Chris Conner, assigned to Iowa Friday, assisted on Pushkarev's first goal.

The Stars play three games in Texas this weekend. They play in San Antonio Saturday and then play in Houston again on Sunday.

The Stars were without James Neal (knee), Vojtech Polak (leg), Aaron Gagnon (shoulder) and Tom Wandell (ribs).
