Iowa starts strong, but
falls to Grand Rapids

The Iowa Stars struck twice on the power play in the
first period to take a 2-0 lead, but Grand Rapids scored the final three
goals of the game to beat Iowa 3-2 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines
Saturday night.
Marty Sertich and Chris Conner scored goals for Iowa,
which fell to 22-24-2-2 on the season. Tobias Stephan stopped 20 of 23
shots in taking the loss in goal. |
