Iowa falls 5-2

Quad City at Iowa

After moving out of last place in the West Division with a win over Quad City Friday night, the Iowa Stars found themselves back in last place Saturday night following a 5-2 loss to split a home-and-home series with the Flames.

Quad City scored three unanswered goals in the third period to break a 2-2 tie and move one point ahead of Iowa in the standings.

Marty Sertich and Francis Wathier scored goals for Iowa, which is now 31-31-4-2 on the season. Tobias Stephan stopped 34 of 38 shots on the night. Iowa, which has 12 games left in the regular season, is seven points out of a playoff spot.
