The Iowa Stars went 1-1-0-1 over the past week, the
next last week of the regular season. The Stars, who have been
eliminated from playoff contention, will play four games this coming
week to wrap up their season.
The Stars are 34-35-4-3 as they head into the final week of
the season.
While the team has struggled down the stretch, some of Iowa's
younger players continue to improve and produce as the season winds down.
Left wing James Neal scored four goals over the past week,
potting two in a 4-3 shootout loss to Quad City and two more in a 5-3 win over
Peoria. Neal has 18 goals in 58 games this season.
Center Tom Wandell also scored a goal last week, giving him
three in the last five games and five over his last 13 contests.
Center Perttu Lindgren had a goal and two assists, giving him
five goals and eight assists over his last 14 games.
Right wing Raymond Sawada, who recently joined the team from
Cornell, had four assists in three games. |
