| Sawada wrapped up his
collegiate career at Cornell, scoring ten goals and adding 16
assists in 36 games. The offensive numbers don't seem like much,
but his goal total was third best on the team for a defensive
minded Cornell team and he his 26 points were tied for fourth.
He joined the Iowa Stars (AHL) after the college season, picking
up nine points (two goals, seven assists in ten games).
He signed a two-year entry-level contract with
the Dallas Stars in late March.
