Scouting Report
Tough defensive defenseman with great size. Plays a physical game, is intimidating and can punish opponents with big hits. Not afraid to drop the gloves. Limited offensive skills, but that is not his game. He can move the move and get it out of trouble. Has good hockey smarts.  Excellent work ethic and leadership abilities. Great team player.
Quotable

"If he doesn't play an aggressive style, that really makes him an average player. When he plays more aggressively, that puts him above that and makes him a guy who's feared."

Vancouver Giants head coach Don Hay on Fistric in an interview with the Vancouver Sun.

"We really like that he's a great team guy. He has something about him. When you are building a team, putting players together, his kind of personality is key. He comes to play every night, every shift, and pushes others to be better. He gives you substance and what you need to win. That's a pretty impressive attribute. When I see that kind of character, I know he will carry it on to the pros. Mark has the ability, personality and character to be an NHL captain some day."

Stars assistant GM Les Jackson on Fistric in an interview with NHL.com
