| As the No. 1 goalie in Iowa, Stephan
posted a 27-25-2 record with a 2.65 goals against
average and a .910 save percentage. He was given the
team's "Unsung Hero" award. Played one game in the NHL
with Dallas, stopping 38 of 40 shots in a 2-1 overtime
loss to Chicago. |

average and .900 save percentage in his first
season with the Iowa Stars of the AHL. Appeared in two
playoff games, posting a 0-0 record, a 3.46 goals
against average and a .833 save percentage. Was called
up to Dallas, but did not see any NHL action.... Posted a 16-19-8 record with a 2.77 goals against
average and a .905 save percentage with Kloten of the
Swiss League. Was tied for second in the league with
five shutouts. Was 5-6 in the playoffs with a 2.90 goals
against average. ... Stephan, who was coming off hip surgery the previous
season, had a 19-20-05 record with a 2.82 goals against
average and a .899 save percentage in 45 games with
Kloten of the Swiss League in 2004-05. ... Was
14-11-1 with a 2.33 goals against average for Kloten in
the Swiss League in 2003-04, but he missed the last part
of the season after undergoing hip surgery.

| Stephan is a tall goaltender who has great lateral
movement and quick reflexes. Plays butterfly style. Not
afraid to challenge shooters. Shows good composure in
high pressure situations. Technically sound goalie who
doesn't get caught out of position often. Considered a
player with a good attitude and has good leadership
abilities. Needs to work on consistency and
puckhandling. |
