Scouting Report
Highly skilled player who is considered a purely offensive defenseman. He continues to work on his defensive game Possibly the best pure skater in the 2006 draft. He has superb speed and great acceleration. Carries the puck well and can do it at top speed to back off defenders. Has a good shot, including a very good one-timer. Is very effective on the power play, which is considered his specialty.
Quotable
Likely the best pure skater in this entire draft with speed, agility, balance and acceleration. The ultimate in high risk/high reward defensemen. Terrific talent level -- brain is a huge question mark....

Projection: Erratic #3-4 defenseman and PP specialist.
Style compares to: Phil Housely

Red Line Report

The team that drafts him will do so with one thing in mind – to generate offense. He is extremely agile and mobile and loves to jump into the rush to create offense. His offensive tendencies can create some defensive concerns but his foot speed allows him to recover most of the time.

NHL Potential: PP Quarterback. Must prove he can run an offense in order to make an impact in the NHL. Style compares to: Oleg Tverdovsky.
