I thought about Lee when the Leafs took the lead.

Welcome Lee.

Had I won the bidding I imagine I would have been much crueler and made you a fan of the '94 Sens or something.

Wow, I think it's really great that this story has such national press. It's really a cool idea, and I kinda wish I'd thought of it. Especially with the Rangers being the team they are...

Hey Guys...great outcome..not the best game I have seen the Stars play...Brad Richards got me 2 goals for my hockey pool and I won 2 bets at work....so all in all very good lol!! I have been getting lots of requests for interviews..one from AM640..the home of the Leafs LOL...I politely declined...I think I knew where that one was going lol. I didn't do it for publicity, actually I rather it go away so I can concentrate on my Stars.

I always wondered what it was like to be a celebrity.

Lee -- You should do an interview with KTCK 1310 The Ticket here in Dallas. Bob Sturm is a hockey nut like us, and he co-hosts BaD radio down here on 1310 AM and also does pre and post game Stars coverage.

I like how he donated the money to charity. That's a nice touch.

This story continues to have legs.

It was on national broadcast ESPN radio last evening (around 6 eastern time) on the Doug Gottlieb show. (Jason Smith was actually the host last night)

Doug has a segment, I think daily, that is bascially a 'fact-or-fiction'-type thing where he brings this guy on from Fark.com (I think thats it..) and the guy reads Doug 5 different pairs of odd-ball-sounding sports-themed 'situations' and Doug has to choose which of them actually happened/is real.

Lee auctioning his fan-dom on EBay was #3. The guy from the website, when presenting the two options, talked about Lee being fed up with the Leafs' losing ways, auctioning his loyalty out of frustration, the fact that the winning bid was from a Stars fan (also basically said Lee (not mentioning him by name, of course..) made out pretty well becasue the Stars, as he put it, are actually a "good team"), and that the winning bid was only 25$.

Didnt mention Andrew's, didnt mention the fact that the proceeds went to charity.

By the way, Jason Smith correctly identified this as the accurate "story." The other option was Lee having named his firstborn daughter after Carey Price.

The story that keeps on giving.

What ever happened to this guy? The Leafs are winning now, 2 points out of a playoff spot. Wonder if he's having second thoughts.

Hi Guys...Still here and cheering for the Stars. An update...I have bought a Turco Game Worn jersey (to add with the Barnes), a 16x20 autographed pic of Morrow is the centerpiece of my Dallas Star part in my "Man Room" (with 8x10 autos of Turco and Modano around a neon Dallas Stars sign). My son just got a Dallas Stars jersey and is wearing it while I am typing this! So to all my Star friends...Have a Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy New Year!!

Lee
