He could shoot on Marty from the locker room and it'd still go in.

Dallas is clearly not on this level yet.

We're in an entirely different ball game when it comes to this type of hockey.

We'll get there...but for this team to get to the Conference Finals, I'm still extremely happy. We've had a great year and I can only hope the team and franchise builds off it.

Red Wings are simply just better right now.

We can admit that. It's ok.

I'm rather chipper, and good spirited about it.

Last time we lost in the Western Conference Finals, we won the Stanley Cup the next year.

Problem is that the Wings will still be in the league next year.

And your point? They were still in the same league in 1999 after beating the Stars in 1998. The Avs won 4 straight on them in the WCQF. Yes - even they can lose.

Sure, but who knows if the Stars will have to face them.

We need a big physical team to take them out like San Jose......winning the west will be important next year.

And that's a good point. The Stars did make their trip to the WCF about as touch as it could be by punting away the whole month of March.

Obviously, I know that someone else can beat them for us, but the truth is that I want to see US do the dirty work.

I'd love a Cup anyway we can get one, but to me, it would be oh-so-much sweeter if we could finally dispense of this freaking team ourselves. Much like the Red Sox had to do with the Yankees.

That said, until this team quits turning into a bunch of quivering girls every time they see red, as fans, we're always gonna want to avoid the Wings.

winning the west will most likely mean that Detroit ( i will just assume that they will be #1) will have to play either San Jose or Anaheim in the 2nd round. That is our best chance.

You could have put any Red Wings player as the punch line. So sad.
