Everyone can bitch all they want, but is there any doubt the Wings are better than the Stars? Going into this series I had the highest hopes, but also told my friends, "the Wings will hand them their ass." I hoped I was wrong, but after seeing the display tonight, there's no doubt in my mind, the wings are just that much better.

No excuses, etc, Detroit is just one helluva lot better than Dallas, next year may be different.

Watching this series and this Detroit team reminds me of those three years the Rangers had the misfortune of drawing the Yankees as a first round opponent in the playoffs in 1996, 1998, and 1999.

All you can do is submit to their will, take your punishment, and admire them.

Even if you hate their ever living guts.

The Stars had the wind sucked out of their sales when Mr. Sieve Turco let in easy goals directly after the Stars tying goals. Same thing the rest of the series.

The Stars know how to bring it but lose momentum when Sieve's involved. He didn't want to be there last night. You could tell the way he just watched pucks float across his crease without covering them.

He wanted to be home talking with his wife and Ann-Marie about how happy they all are about the twins. Being a hockey goalie? Hell, he lost the desire for that when we drew Detroit in the third round.

Glad to know someone kicked the town drunk to get his opinion.

Roy,
I'm with you on Turco's porous nature(I prefer to call him "Collander");
but Morrow is the Star whose wife just had the twins.

Witty retort, I am impressed, so ditto on the whatever.

Where was this in the SJ and Ana series, not saying Turco has been as good as he was in those series, and yes-I am far from happy with some of the goals he has let in against the Wings, Turco hasn't been bad, just far from great, but the real problem is 3 games, four goals scored-That wouldn't even beat the Lightning as bad as they were most of this year.

that's why I said his wife AND Anne-Marie. Their families are supposedly good friends.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the Wings are playing better than the Stars.

On a positive note, Wings/Penguins should be a highly exciting Final to watch.

Probably. However, my point was not that the Stars suck, although Marty had a horrible game, the refs are biased for Detroit, etc, etc and every other excuse in the world. They are just being beaten by a better team.
