Moose lose Game 1 in OT

The Manitoba Moose lost Game 1 of the Calder Cup Finals Saturday, falling 5-4 in overtime. Manitoba blew a 3-1 lead and was down 4-3 late in the game, but Maxime Fortunus scored on a five-on-three power play with 1:16 left in regulation to force OT. Hershey’s Alexandre Giroux, who had three goals in the game, won it 13:33 into overtime.

Fortunus had a goal and was even. Mark Fistric had no points and was a plus-one. Ray Sawada had no points and was a minus-two.

Game 2 is Tuesday in Winnipeg.
