Postgame quotes
Tonight’s postgame quotes from Stars PR:
Commenting is not available in this weblog entry.James Neal: “Things have been going pretty good for me since I’ve come back, but it’s not a good feeling when you lose. We keep saying it, but we can’t put things together. It’s disappointing; we have so many good guys in the locker room. We’ve just got to stick together. Well go back to the drawing board. I stepped in right away, playing with Mike Ribeiro, it’s easy to score, he’s so good with the puck.”
Marty Turco: “Our consecutive non-streak of wins, that’s very disappointing, but the disappointment goes a lot deeper than that. Chances we’re giving up, goals I’m letting in; I pretty much saw the all, when we had bounces the other night, tonight not so. Power play goals, you want to be there but sometimes you just can’t be. It’s disheartening, you want to do so much more, be the guy that turns this around but we know we have to do this together. Thought it could’ve been a big night for us tonight, a big spark, but in fact it was the total opposite.”
Loui Eriksson: “I am feeling pretty good out there and the puck seems to be going in. I want this team to have more success that is so much more important than individual success. We are in a tough spot right now so we just have to keep battling through. We have talked about playing harder and more together, and it’s been frustrating. I was trying to pass the puck across and I just got a good bounce. We had a good win against Minnesota and we wanted to build our confidence, but tonight obviously didn’t go our way.”
Darryl Sydor: “It’s really tough right now. We got a win the other night and we just fell apart tonight. The hole is getting deeper if we don’t turn this around. We can do it but it starts with work ethic. When things don’t go your way, you have to mentally battle through and stay positive. Until we have some success the way the coaches want us to play, we want have the confidence we need. We just faded tonight and we have to take this baby steps, one shift at a time.”
Dave Tippett: “I thought we were good in the 1st period, despite being down 3-1. We had to start chasing the game and that’s something we’ve had to do alot this year. Our goaltending has to be better, our PK has to keep pucks out, we have a lot of things we have to work on. We expect a lot more from certain players and that starts in goal with Marty. We have to have good goaltending right now, with the group we have here. Everything is wide open for discussion.”
