Stars roster update

Just got back from Frisco and here's what I know. Most of this roster shuffling appears to center around the Stars using the long term injury exception with Sergei Zubov, who is out due to the hip surgery. That's what I thought it might be. Time will tell though.

Doug Janik has apparently been taken off waivers by Chicago. Speaking of defense, the Stars could be working on a deal in that area because of Janik being gone now.

The bottom line is all this should get sorted out today. Dave Tippett said he expects a full complement of players for practice tomorrow.

The Stars had only 19 players practicing today, but Chris Conner wasn't one of them. He was in the building, so I assume he is probably going to get assigned to the AHL when all the dust gets settled later today.

Still no Jere Lehtinen. He is bothered by that groin issue. Still day-to-day status for him. I don't know if he'll be ready for opening night or not.

Also goalie Brent Krahn was out on the ice again today. He is still awaiting medical clearance before he officially joins the organization. Commenting is not available in this weblog entry.
