Zubov stuff

SKA St. Petersburg finally made an official announcement regarding Sergei Zubov today. The club said it has reached a deal with Zubov on a two-year contract and that it would be officially signed when Zubov arrives in St. Petersburg, which is supposed to be around August 12. Nothing we didn’t already know, but that’s the official word from the team.

Anyway, this was posted on the message board last night and I thought I would put it here. It’s from January 20,2006 when the Stars honored Sergei Zubov for becoming the all-time points leader among franchise defensemen. I have a feeling that sometime down the road we’ll see another ceremony at the American Airlines Center with Zubov, only with his No. 56 going to the rafters.
