Flu slows down Brunnstrom
Fabian Brunnstrom almost didn’t play Thursday night for the Manitoba Moose Thursday night because of the flu, but he gave it a shot and almost made it all the way through the game. He played about two thirds of the game and ended up with no points and three shots on goal in Manitoba’s 2-1 shootout loss to Rockford.
Manitoba coach Scott Arniel was asked what was up with Brunnstrom after the game and here’s what he told reporters.
“He has the flu,” Arniel said. “He was questionable to go, but after warm-up he wanted to try it. He got out there and it just kind of overtook him.”
Not sure about Brunnstrom’s status for Friday’s game. That’s probably up in the air.
