First, the injury update. Defensemen Trevor Daley and Mark Fistric are both expected to be out until after the Christmas break. Daley has a shoulder injury and went on injured reserve today retroactive to December 16. Mark Fistric, who was injured in last night’s game against Atlanta, has a concussion.

Maxime Fortunus, called up from the Texas Stars this morning, will play tomorrow against Detroit. It will be his first NHL game.

Marty Turco will get the start in goal against Detroit.

It was an optional skate for the Stars today. There were 14 players on the ice, including the two goaltenders.
