Friday practice update: Lehtonen in goal tomorrow

Marc Crawford said Kari Lehtonen will start tomorrow against Ottawa.

“Moving forward here we’re going to try to give ourselves the best opportunity to win games. I’ll keep moving with Kari tomorrow,” Crawford said. “I’m confident Marty can come in and win, but I want to give Kari a chance to keep the ball running. Just looking at tomorrow’s game. I’ll decide on the next game after that.”

Mike Modano, who had an appendectomy earlier this week, was at the practice facility for a about 15 minutes today. Still no timetable on his return. Crawford said he’s confident Modano will be back before the end of the season. Modano will not travel with the team to start the next road trip, which begins Tuesday in Nashville.
