Nieuwendyk on The Hardline

Stars GM Joe Nieuwendyk was on The Hardline a little while ago. He talked about a variety of stuff as he takes over the helm of the Dallas Stars. Among them was the status of Sergei Zubov and Jere Lehtinen, who are both unrestricted free agents and have battled the injuries the past couple seasons.

“Those are decisions that we face. I haven’t spoken to either one of those guys, but I know that Sergei is skating and he wants to play,” said Nieuwendyk. “We’ll take a our time with that one. We’ll see how Sergei is doing. Collectively we’ll talk as an organization and hopefully we’ll come to the right decision on those guys.”
