Off and running: Ohlund to Tampa

TSN reports that Tampa Bay has signed defenseman Mattias Ohlund to a seven-year contract worth $3.75 million per year.

The annual salary isn’t bad but the term seems kind of long for a guy who will be 33 years old in September.  Even if he retires early, they still have to carry that cap hit.  Nice pickup for TB, but they may live to regret it.
