Max Giese, who writes for McKeen’s and who has been recently hired by the Red Line Report, has posted his thoughts on the Stars’ top prospects and the rest of the prospects in the Pacific Division on Sharkspage. In this post, Giese ranks the top 5 Dallas prospects - Scott Glennie is No. 1 - and he lists the most overrated and underrated Stars prospect as well. The list of Stars prospects is towards the bottom of the post.

A little sidenote. When I talked to Glennie in Frisco last month one of the topics discussed was where he thought he might go in the draft. He got a kick out of me telling him that there was a mock draft that had him going 5th overall. That mock draft was put together for McKeen’s by Max Giese, who is obviously high on Glennie.

Speaking of prospects, here is how the Stars’ up and comers are ranked in The Hockey News 2009-10 Yearbook:

1. Jamie Benn, LW
2. Scott Glennie, RW
3. Ivan Vishnevskiy, D
4. Alex Chiasson, RW
5. Tom Wandell, C
6. Philip Larsen, D
7. Richard Bachman, G
8. Tyler Beskorowany, G
9. Ray Sawada, RW
10. Colton Sceviour, RW
