Saturday morning skate

A few notes from this morning’s skate at the AAC.

Brenden Morrow skated and will be a game time decision.

“We don’t want to do anything that will further complicate his situation, but at the same time we know and Brenden knows he’s got to get some game action,” Stars head coach Marc Crawford said. “If he can get some game action and it’s not detrimental then we’ll do that, and we’ll give it until tonight to make the decision.”

If Morrow plays Brian Sutherby will not play. Crawford said he is comfortable with Sutherby’s play but wants to get a look at some other players.

“Sutherby has had a great camp. I want to see [Fabian] Brunnstrom play with [Tom] Wandell and [Toby] Petersen. Those are the three guys I am still getting comfortable with,” Crawford said. “I am very comfortable with Sutherby.

Jeff Woywitka is expected to be the odd-man out on defense.

Haven’t heard anything about Andrew Hutchinson and waivers as I type this.

Marty Turco will play the entire game in goal.
