Stars down 1-0 after one

Stars trail the Wild 1-0 after one period at Traverse City. Stars started off well, but they took back-to-back penalties late in the period and the Wild scored on the second power play.

A couple of notes. Jamie Benn played with quite an edge in the first period. He was physical and very involved.

Tyler Beskorowany looked pretty sharp in stopping eight of nine shots in the period. The only that got by him came on the PP and it was off a rebound during a scramble in front of the net. He was moving the puck up the ice well and looked pretty comfortable out there.
