The latest goalie to change teams is Dwayne Roloson, who has signed with the New York Islanders. TSN has his contract at 2 years for $2.5 million per year. So, that’s Roloson, Craig Anderson and Ty Conklin off the market.
TSN was also reporting that Leafs GM Brian Burke was in Europe, apparently making the push to land Jonas Gustavsson.
There’s always Eddie the Eagle.

Chicago signed Hossa, damn they’re going to be the hardest team to playa against for a looong time, with all the stars they have. Versteeg, Toems, Kane, Hossa, Campbell, the list goes on and on.
Yeah, we knew they would go like hotcakes considering all of the teams who are not happy with their situation to some extent - though none more so than Colorado, Toronto and Dallas. I’m hoping we can land Clemmenson from NJ if Gustavsson is coerced to go with Burke as he grovels in Sweden.

I like Turco but I’m not convinced that he’s necessarily the best man for the job. Further, he tends to play better when he feels as though his job is on the line or when he can take a break and actually relax (i.e. when Smitty was backup) and he still has a difficult time determining when to play the puck. Eddie is looking to get back into the league (might get him at a steal), he lives in the area, and he has a history of being a great goalie. Not to mention, Hicks seems to be trying to get everyone back from the Cup team. Now, can Eddie stay off of the sauce… that’s the big question.
There are entirely too many “what if’s” for the Stars to pick up Ed Belfour. It’s a little farfetched for him to think he could get a true spot on an NHL roster. His best bet is to get a “Claude Deal” and get signed to an NHL’s affiliate in the minors with the incentive that if they need a call up he’ll be the first to get it. Dallas in my personal opinion would be pretty crazy to sign him at any capacity.

One of the breaking news of the ice hockey industry is the $5 Million contract of Dwayne Roloson with the Islanders for two years. That agreement took place on 1st of July. So shuffling is obvious because of gaming environment in which we are surviving so the players.
The Stars better get Gustavsson or start hoping that Bachman is ready to backup Turco.
