Zubov Watch: First preseason game

SKA St. Petersburg is playing in a tournament this week and former Stars defenseman Sergei Zubov, who didn’t play in the tournament opener on Tuesday, saw his first preseason action in today’s game. He did not factor in the scoring as SKA beat HC Torpedo 3-2. The final game of the tournament is tomorrow. There are no more preseason games on the schedule prior to SKA’s season opener on September 12.

SKA has some photos up from today’s game here, and I believe you can see Zubov in one of them.

By the way, SKA does have an English language web site, which you can find here. It’s usually a few days behind the Russian site. The KHL has a site in English as well, and it’s pretty up to date.
