Texas Stars franchise note

When the Texas Stars were given a franchise to play in the AHL for this season it was under a limited membership, meaning the club had to buy an AHL franchise within one year. Well it appears they have their eyes on purchasing the defunct Iowa Chops franchise for $3.75 million, according to this Des Moines Register article.
