Yesterday, I posted the link to Bob Sturm's great tale of his experience on the Stars' bench during Thursday night's game against Chicago. One of the things Bob described was a confrontation in the tunnel after one of the periods.

Well, Blackhawks coach Denis Savard discussed the incident with the Chicago media today. Here's a Savard quote from Chris Kuc's blog at the Chicago Tribune site:

"It was one of those things where Ott said to me, 'I'm going to go after [Hawks forward Jack] Skille,'" Savard said after practice at the Edge in Bensenville. "I answered back to him, 'If you go after Skille I'll send everybody after you.' Then Avery jumped in there kind of mouthing off.

"For me, being an ex player, he shouldn't be talking to coaches as a player. It was a heated game. There were a lot of battles and that's part of the game, I guess. I just don't like when a player says 'I'm going to come after one of your players.' I know one thing, Jack Skille can take care of himself but if you're going to threaten one of my players you better be ready to face the whole team."
