Tuesday practice update

There were quite a few players off the ice today. Players like Brad Richards, Mike Ribeiro, Brenden Morrow, Mike Modano and Jere Lehtinen had the day off for maintenance or rest.

Nicklas Grossman did not skate due to a groin injury. He’s expected to skate tomorrow morning and then a decision will be made about his status.

Karlis Skrastins was hurting a bit after blocking a shot last night, but Stars head coach Marc Crawford said he expected Skrastins to be OK.

Both Fabian Brunnstrom (shoulder) and Brian Sutherby (groin) went through a full practice today. Crawford said they are both “really close.” Brunnstrom said he felt like he was pretty close to being able to play.

James Neal said he can’t wait to get back into the lineup Wednesday.

Crawford said it will be Marty Turco in goal tomorrow.

No real lines to talk about because so many guys were out.
