Brent Krahn was back in the net for the first time since November and won two starts for the Texas Stars last week. Here's our weekly update on the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League, the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL and other minor league notes.

The past week

Brent Krahn, who had been out since late November due to sports hernia surgery, stopped in 29 of 31 shots in his return to the net on Wednesday as the Texas Stars beat Peoria 3-2.

Colton Sceviour, Francis Wathier and Aaron Gagnon scored goals in the game. Gagnon's goal early in the third period snapped a 2-2 tie and held up as the game-winner.

The Stars lost Friday in San Antonio. Matt Climie was in net for that game, stopping 29 of 31 shots. Gagnon scored the lone goal for the Stars.

The Stars hosted San Antonio Saturday and won five four behind two goals and one assist from Wathier and one goal and one assist from Gagnon.

Krahn picked up the win in goal, stopping 30 of 34 shots. Krahn is now 12-2-0 with a 1.64 goals against average and .951 save percentage.

Gagnon, who had three goals and two assists in three games last week, has eight goals and five assists in his last 14 games. He now leads Texas in scoring with 46 points (20 goals, 26 assists) in 66 games.

The Stars (37-23-3-4) are in 3rd place in the West Division. They trail second place Rockford by five points, but have four games in hand.

Texas Clear Day Roster
The Texas Stars released their Clear Day Roster last week.

According to the AHL:

"Only those players listed on a team’s Clear Day roster are eligible to compete in the remainder of the AHL regular season and in the 2010 Calder Cup Playoffs, unless emergency conditions arise as a result of recall, injury or suspension.

"Teams may also add signed junior players or players on amateur tryout contracts after Clear Day, but only once their respective junior or college seasons are complete."

ECHL Update
The Idaho Steelheads won all three of their games over the past week, running their winning streak to five games. The Steelheads are 42-13-1-4 and lead the league in points (89) and points percentage (.742).

D Guillaume Monast had an assist and was a plus-five in a 7-1 win over Victoria on Friday. G Richard Bachman made his only start of the week in that game, stopping 22 of 23 shots. Bachman is 18-5-3 on the season with a league-best 2.13 goals against average. His .914 save percentage ranks fourth in the league.

Allen Americans Notes
The Allen Americans won two of three games over the past week to improve to 40-16-5 on the season. The Americans, who have clinched a playoff spot, are currently second in the Southern Conference. The team reported Monday that RW Tyler Shelast had been recalled by the Texas Stars. Shelast had two goals and one assist in five games with Allen.
