Wathier, Gagnon lead Texas Stars past San Antonio

Francis Wathier scored two goals and added an assist and Aaron Gagnon scored one goal and had two assists as the Texas Stars beat the San Antonio Rampage 5-4 before a sellout crowd of 6,862 fans at Cedar Park Center Saturday night.
Ray Sawada and Travis Morin also scored for the Stars. Goalie Brent Krahn made 30 saves to improve to 12-2-0 on the season.
The Stars trailed 3-2 going into the third period, but Wathier, Morin and Wathier scored in a 4:55 span to put the Stars up 5-3 with just under three minutes remaining in the game. San Antonio cut the lead to 5-4 with 2:23 remaining but could not get the equalizer.
The Stars next play on Thursday, when they host Milwaukee.
