Zubov expected to formally sign with St. Petersburg in a couple weeks

SKA St. Petersburg made an official announcement on Sergei Zubov Friday, confirming that the club and the defenseman had reached an agreement on a two-year contract and saying that the deal would be officially signed upon Zubov's arrival in Russia in a couple weeks. Continue reading» |

Almost three weeks ago Sergei Zubov told a Russian newspaper that the KHL would be an option as he looked for a place to play in 2009-10. The Russian league now appears to be the choice.
