Texas Stars defenseman Ivan Vishnevskiy has been voted in as a starter for the AHL All-Star Classic, which will be held next month in Portland, Maine.

Stars win a wild one, top Blackhawks 5-4

At Tuesday morning's skate Stars head coach Marc Crawford was asked what he expected out of his top line. He said he was hoping that it would be hard to tell which line was the top one because that would mean more than just a few people were contributing. He got his wish. The Stars got contributions from several players in beating the Chicago Blackhawks 5-4 in a wild game at American Airlines Center Tuesday night.

Syracuse downs Texas Stars in shootout

For the sixth time in their last eight games there was no victory for the Texas Stars. On Wednesday night it was a 4-3 shootout loss to the Syracuse Crunch at Cedar Park Center.

There were no points for Stars prospect Tomas Vincour at the World Junior Championship Tuesday, but there was a much better result for his team. Czech Republic beat Austria 7-1 to earn its first win of the tournament.
