Climie, Texas Stars shut out Peoria, 5-0

Matt Climie stopped 41 shots for his third shutout of the season as the Texas Stars beat the Peoria Rivermen 5-0 at Cedar Park Center Saturday night.

The victory snapped a three-game losing streak for the Stars, who improved to 29-15-3-4 on the season and continue to lead the West Division.

The Stars took the lead 55 seconds into the game on a goal by Mathieu Beaudoin and never looked back. Travis Morin, Sergei Korostin, Mathieu Tousignant and Ray Sawada, assigned to Texas by Dallas earlier in the Dallas, also scored for the Stars.

Texas hosts Grand Rapids on Tuesday.
