Modano sits out with injury

The Stars added center Mike Modano to the list of injured players Thursday night. He sat out the game with Columbus with a lower body injury.
"He reaggravated an old injury in the last game," said Stars coach Marc Crawford. "We thought he'd be alright, but it hasn't settled down yet."
Modano is listed as day-to-day. It is believe to be a knee injury.
With Modano out of the lineup Thursday the Stars were down three centers because Mike Ribeiro is still out with a throat contusion and Tom Wandell is out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery for a torn ACL earlier this week.
Crawford said the team won't use the injuries as an excuse.
"Everybody deals with those things (injuries)," Crawford said. "We can't use it as an excuse. You've to find a way. Opportunities are there for certain people. We needed everybody on deck tonight and we had a few guys that didn't play at the level they needed to play, and that's a little disappointing."
