| What Scouts Say | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
"Kassian is one of the toughest guys in the OHL and
probably the entire draft. Last season as an under-ager there were
overage guys in the league who would not take him on. He has not fought
much this season (because) he has not had to. He is at his best when he
is playing physical and tough along the boards. He protects the puck
very well and fights through checks. He has very good play-making and
puck-handling abilities." "Pure power forward can play the game any way you
choose and has all the physical tools to become a dominating force at
the next level. He's got tremendous size, a powerful skating stride,
good hands and a nose for the net. Strong on his skates and stick -
takes it personally when stripped of the puck. Can finish and drops the
mitts, and is a feared fighter when he does." "Kassian is big, mean, talented, smart, and
unselfish player who works hard. He is probably the most physically
ready player in this draft to play at higher levels. Given time he
should be a power forward with the ability to put up good offensive
numbers. He has a powerful skating stride, making him a very effective
power forward who "He's actually probably a little ahead of where
[Milan] Lucic was at that stage of his career, and who dreamed Lucic
would be this good." |
