The regular season is over in major junior hockey in Canada and the playoffs begin this weekend. Here's a look at some notes and statistical updates on Dallas Stars prospects playing in juniors, Europe and college this season. 

Prospect Notes

  • All Dallas Stars prospects in Canadian juniors will be taking part in the playoffs.
     

  • RW Scott Glennie (Brandon/WHL) will play in the Memorial Cup because Brandon is the host team this season. Brandon is considered a strong contender to win the WHL title as well.
     

  • Glennie, who had two goals and seven assists in three games last week, finished 10th in the WHL in scoring with 89 points (32 goals, 57 assists).
     

  • College hockey tournaments are underway as well. Among the Stars prospects still playing in the college postseason are Alex Chiasson (Boston University), Curtis McKenzie (Miami) and Reilly Smith (Miami).
     

  • The Swedish Elite League playoffs start this week as well. Defenseman Philip Larsen's Frolunda team opens with Linkoping in the quarterfinal round.
