The Dallas Stars added some depth to their forward ranks Monday, signing center Warren Peters to a one-year, two-way contract.

"Warren is a gritty center ice-man with underrated skill, and he will bring quality depth to our organization,” said Stars GM Joe Nieuwendyk. “We look forward to his continued development in our system.”

Peters will earn $500,000 at the NHL level and $105,000 at the minor league level.

Peters, who turns 27 later this month, has spent the last four seasons in the Calgary Flames system. Most of that time was been spent in the AHL, but he did make his NHL debut last season and scored one goal in a total of 16 NHL games. He also played 62 games with Quad City of the AHL, registering 11 goals and six assists.

Peters, who is likely to play with the Stars' new AHL team in Cedar Park next season, has 58 goals and 49 assists in 349 career AHL games.

Here's a look at possible players who could end up in Cedar Park next season. These players are under contract or are restricted free agents. Some could end up in the ECHL or playing in Europe.
