The Stars are coming off a 2-1 loss at Columbus Thursday that dropped them to 1-10-2 in their last 13 road games.

"Overall, I thought we played a real solid game," said Stars coach Marc Crawford. "We had the better of the chances. Their goalie played great. We needed a little more urgency and where it really showed was probably on the power plays."

The Stars were 0-3 on the power play and are 1-10 with the man advantage over the last four games.

The Stars are 9-2-0 in their last 11 games at American Airlines Center.

Marty Turco will start in goal.

Injuries: C Mike Modano (knee) is expected to play. LW Brian Sutherby (shoulder), C Tom Wandell (knee) and Mike Ribeiro (throat) are out.

The Coyotes ran their winning streak to six games with a 2-1 shootout win in Chicago Friday night. Jason LaBarbera stopped 28 of 29 in regulation and overtime and two of three in the shootout.

"We did a lot of good things tonight," said Phoenix coach Dave Tippett. "I thought we made some mistakes to give them some chances, but LaBarbera was really strong in goal for us. It was a very competitive game again. We competed hard, and we found away to hang around the game, and we found a way to get two points."

Saturday's game will end a four-game road trip for the Coyotes. The Coyotes have won in Dallas, Nashville and Chicago in the first three.

Ilya Bryzgalov is expected to get the start in goal for Phoenix.

Injuries: RW Scottie Upshall (leg) and D Kurt Sauer (upper body) are out.

• This is the fourth of six meetings. The Stars are 0-3-0 and the Coyotes are 3-0-0 in the season series.

• The Coyotes are 3-0-0 against Dallas this season and have outscored the Stars 12-6.  They have won six straight against the Stars dating back to last season.
• The Stars are 14-3-2 in their last 19 games at home.
• The Stars are 3-25 on the power play over their last eight games.
• The Stars have been shorthanded one time or fewer in three of their last four games.
• Phoenix has scored one goal over their last two games won both of them, beating Nashville 1-0 in a shootout and Chicago 2-1 in a shootout.
• The Coyotes are 12-5 in games that gone beyond regulation, posting a 7-4 record in shootouts and 5-1 in games decided in four-on-four overtime.
