About the Stars |
|
The Stars are coming off a 6-3 loss to
Chicago at the American Airlines Center Thursday night.
It was the Stars sixth loss in their last eight games
(2-5-1).
"We had a great start and dictated a lot
of the play, our power play kept us in it and then we
shot ourselves in the foot and couldn't catch up," said
Stars coach Dave Tippett.
The Stars got bad news Friday when they
learned captain Brenden Morrow suffered a torn ACL and
will miss the rest of the season.
Marty Turco will get the start in goal
for the Stars.
Injuries: F Brenden Morrow (ACL), F Jere Lehtinen (upper
body) and F Joel Lundqvist (shoulder) are out. |

About the
Ducks |
|
The Ducks lost for the fifth time in
their last six games, falling 3-2 in overtime to St.
Louis Friday night. The Ducks tied the game 0.9 seconds
left in regulation to get the point, but couldn't get
the second point.
"We feel we're a better team than we've
shown in a number of games this year," Ducks defenseman
Scott Niedermayer said. "It's frustrating when you don't
play to your potential."
The Ducks are 1-3-2 over their last six
games.
Injuries: F Brian Sutherby (groin) and D Francois
Beauchemin (ACL) are out.
