Stars fall to Avalanche 4-2
The Dallas Stars fell to 0-2 in preseason play, falling 4-2 to the Colorado Avalanche at the Americans Airlines Center Thursday night.

The Stars' top line produced all the offense in the game. Mike Ribeiro and Brenden Morrow each had a goal and an assist and Fabian Brunnstrom chipped in two assists.
Ribeiro opened the scoring when he tapped in a pass from Morrow to put the Stars up 8:29 into the game.
Morrow scored a power play goal off a rebound with 30 seconds left in the second period to tie the game at 2-2.
Colorado's T.J. Hensick scored what would hold up to the be the game-winner on the power play 5:56 into the third. The Avalanche scored an empty net goal late to round out the scoring.
Marty Turco played the first two periods for the Stars, and stopped 11 o 13 shots. Matt Climie played the final period and gave up one goal on six shots.
The Stars played a lot of their younger players in the game including James Neal, Ray Sawada, Jamie Benn, Ivan Vishnevskiy, Aaron Gagnon and Lauri Tukonen.
