About the Stars

The Stars ran their winning streak to four games with a 7-3 win in Columbus Saturday night, and climbed into a playoff position.

"The way the team's banded together to play a certain way is most important," Stars goalie Marty Turco said. "We're going to need to continue to do this."

The win was the third straight on the road for the Stars and gave them a 6-1-1 record overall in their last eight games.

Injuries:  D Darryl Sydor (ankle) is probable. RW Mark Parrish (flu) is available. LW Fabian Brunnstrom (flu) is doubtful. RW Landon Wilson (ribs), D Sergei Zubov (hip) and LW Brenden Morrow (knee) are out.

About the Flames

The Flames had a three-game winning streak snapped with a 4-3 loss in to the Avalanche in Denver Monday night. The Flames gave up 42 shots on goal, the second highest total they've surrendered this season.

"We were a little bit too loose defensively," said Flames coach Mike Keenan. "We were playing against a desperate team that had just lost four games in a row at home and came out with a lot of energy."

The loss dropped Calgary to 11-10-1 on the road this season.

Injuries: C Wayne Primeau (broken foot), RW Brandon Prust (jaw) and D Rhett Warrener (shoulder) are out.
