About the Stars

The Stars are coming off a 4-3 shootout loss at Chicago Tuesday night. The Stars scored late in the game to get a point and pull to within three points of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

"It was a good effort by our guys. We can't be disappointed," Stars coach Marc Crawford said. "I think we can build on this one and hopefully play real well against Calgary."

Marty Turco, who stopped 37 of 40 shots in the game, will get his fifth consecutive start Thursday night.

Injuries: LW Steve Ott (appendix), D Mark Fistric (knee), LW Brian Sutherby (shoulder) and C Tom Wandell (ACL) are out.

About the Flames

The Flames wrapped up a three-game road trip with a 3-2 loss in Ottawa Tuesday. The Flames won the first game of the trip, but dropped the last two games and finished with a 1-1-1 record in the three games.

'I’m not happy at all tonight,” Flames coach Brent Sutter said. "That game was there for us to get some points here tonight and we just didn’t play a good enough game after the first 28 minutes to expect to win."

The Flames scored five goals during the three-game trip.

Injuries: LW Nigel Dawes (leg), RW Rene Bourque (back) and LW David Moss (shoulder) are questionable. C Craig Conroy (knee) is out.
