About the Stars |
|
The Stars are coming off a 5-3 win over
New Jersey Saturday night. After losing a 3-1 lead in
the game, the Stars bounced back to score twice for the
win.
"They came back, but we bounced back
right after that," said Stars defenseman Stephane
Robidas. "I think that showed a lot of character."
Robidas had two goals and two assists in
the game, establishing a new career high for points in a
game with four.
Injuries: James Neal (suspension), Fabian
Brunnstrom (shoulder) and Brian Sutherby (groin) are
out. |

The Hurricanes won their second straight
game and ran their points streak to five games (3-0-2)
with a 3-1 over Tampa Bay Saturday night. It was
Carolina's second regulation win of the season. Their
first was on October 9.
“I think this is the closest we’ve played
to 60 minutes all year,” said Carolina forward Jussi
Jokinen, who scored the game-winning goal.
The Hurricane's recent run of winning
three of their last five follows a 14-game winless
streak that tied a franchise record.
Injuries:
G Michael Leighton (groin) and RW Scott Walker
(upper body) are day to day. C Eric Staal (upper body),
G Cam Ward (leg) and C Michael Ryan (concussion) are
out. |
