About the Stars

The Stars wrapped up a three-game road trip with a 1-2-0 record after a 5-3 loss in Buffalo Wednesday. The Stars have given up 25 goals in their last five games and have been outshot 95-46 over the last two.

"It's a statistical thing that's kind of out the window for us at this point," said Stars goalie Marty Turco. 'It really is all about wins. More shots will help our cause, but so will playing stronger defense, or getting into their zone. So to say that one thing matters more, it's not true."

The Stars, who are 1-4-0 since the Olympic break, play their next six games at home.

Injuries:D Nicklas Grossman (back) and C Tom Wandell (knee) is out.

About the Kings

The Kings are coming off a 3-2 overtime loss at Chicago Wednesday night. A neutral zone turnover led to a Patrick Sharp breakaway goal for the Blackhawks in overtime. It was Kings' third loss in the last four games (1-2-1.)

"When you get down to the final 20 games of the season, any point you can put on the board, especially on an away game in a very tough building to play in, is a point we’ll take," said Kings coach Terry Murray.

The Kings recalled goalie Jonathan Bernier from Manchester (AHL) Thursday because No. 1 goalie Jonathan Quick returned to Los Angeles to be with his wife, who is expecting the couple's first child.

Justin Williams, who has been out since late December with a broken leg, is expected to return to action Friday night.

Injuries: G Jonathan Quick (personal) is doubtful.
