About the Stars

The Stars are coming off a 5-4 shootout loss to Buffalo Thursday. The Stars squandered leads of 3-0 and 4-2 in the game.

"It's an embarrassment and a joke," said Stars forward Steve Ott, who had a goal and an assist in the game. "We came to the first period and we dominated. We knew the task at hand and it slipped. It's plain not good enough."

The Stars are 2-2-2 in their last six games.

Injuries: RW Fabian Brunnstrom (ankle), RW Landon Wilson (ribs), D Sergei Zubov (hip) and LW Brenden Morrow (knee) are out.

About the Kings

The Kings lost their third straight game and fourth in their last five, falling 4-0 to the Detroit Red Wings in Los Angeles Thursday.

“It’s very disappointing,”  Kings forward Patrick O’Sullivan said. “The season can go one way or another right now, and that’s what’s happened with this organization in the past. Right around this time, everything falls apart. Games start to get away from you, and then the season is over.”

The Kings' three straight losses all came at home and they were outscored 12-2 by their opponents.

Injuries:  D Jack Johnson (shoulder) is probable. D Drew Doughty (thigh) is doubtful. C Oscar Moller (clavicle) and RW Brad Richardson (foot) are out.
